  1. DoubleScroll has several options in its control panel. If DoubleScroll was loaded at startup, changing any option will take effect immediately, including turning it off and back on. If DoubleScroll was not loaded at startup, you will have to restart with DoubleScroll turned on to see the results  of your changes. The control panel options are explained here:

  3. On:  Click this button to use DoubleScroll窶冱 scroll bars. If DoubleScroll did not load the last time you restarted your computer, you will need to reboot. A dialog box will come up and let you know if this is the case.

  5. Off: Click this button if you don窶冲 want to use DoubleScroll窶冱 scroll bars in any windows opened after DoubleScroll is turned off. All windows currently using DoubleScroll scroll bars will continue to do so until they are closed and reopened, or the system is rebooted.

  7. Show Startup Icon: If this button is checked, DoubleScroll will display its icon when your computer is booting. If it is unchecked, the icon will not be displayed.

  9. Scroll while Dragging Thumb: If this box is checked, whenever you drag the thumb to move to another place in a document or list, the window or list will scroll as you drag. No more dotted outline. If you wish, you can temporarily toggle this option by holding down the option key when you drag the thumb.

  11. Use 3D button effect: With this option turned on, the scroll bar arrows will seem to push in when clicking on them instead of using the usual effect of turning the arrows black.

  13. Threshold...: Clicking the up and down arrows allow you to set the distance at which DoubleScroll stops showing double arrows and switches back to single arrows. It defaults to 160 pixels, and cannot be set below 80. This is so when a window is sized really small, the thumb can have room to move.

  15. Throttle Speed: You can use this to set the scrolling speed. The fast setting is normal scrolling speed. All other settings slow your scrolling speed down.

  17. Throttle Delay: You can use this option to set the amount of delay before the scrolling speed kicks in. Each radio button increases the delay by about 1/3 of a second. The scroll bars scroll at their slowest speed for the amount of time the delay is set to and then reverts to the scrolling speed that you have set.

  19. Info...: Click this button to show (and print) the very text you are reading now.

  21. Register...: Click this button to register your copy of DoubleScroll (see 窶彝egistering DoubleScroll窶).

  23. Incompatible Apps...: Clicking this button brings up a dialog box allowing you to tell DoubleScroll which applications don窶冲 get along with DoubleScroll.

  25. Holding down the shift key right before DoubleScroll loads during startup will prevent it from loading.
